About the Artist

Following a love of drawing horses in middle school, I directed my extracurricular efforts into art in high school and pursued my Bachelor of Fine Arts at College for Creative Studies. I graduated in May of 2015 with honors, majoring in Illustration and minoring in Entertainment Arts, specifically 2D animation. I enjoy sketching and drawing and create most illustrations digitally in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.

My inspiration from the past is mainly the strong linework, natural design, and soft color of Art Nouveau artist Alphonse Mucha. Contemporary inspirations include the character design and storytelling of Rebecca Sugar's Steven Universe, Alex Hirsch's Gravity Falls, and many other character designers I follow in social media.

In the past, I have worked as a cake decorator and a T-Shirt designer, creating custom products for a wide variety of customer clientele. I enjoy providing great customer service as well as working with people to achieve their goals. I enjoy working with a team of like-minded, hardworking individuals, and I strive to be a quick learner and have an 'above and beyond the call of duty' attitude. I have worked with kids on a couple of different platforms, both encouraging them as viola and violin players, and by creating educational materials for the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra's department of education. Most recently I have worked as a Marketing Graphic Designer for the United States Air Force, where I networked and created content for a variety of facilities on the military base to promote products and opportunities for military households.

I enjoy working with people and do my best to make dreams come true. I wear many hats and can easily adjust my art style to fit the needs of my client. In addition to a connection to working with other people, I also do my best to impart knowledge on other aspiring artists and encourage kids to be artistic and creative. Being patient and flexible, I find it easy to help others hone their skills.
